This is one of the most practiced fishing techniques in Italy!
We head offshore to depths of 30–70m, searching for the perfect marks on the fish finder. Once we’re over the spot, we drop down a “chicken rig” with 2 or 3 hooks, using fresh shrimp or squid to tempt whatever is lurking below.
The FISH GUARANTEE makes this trip engaging and fun for everyone—you never know exactly what’s going to bite, but something always does! Expect a huge variety of colorful Mediterranean species, and don’t be surprised if a few “big ones” show up to test your drag. It’s consistent action and great fun for all skill levels!
Live Bait Trolling

Target the “Kings” of the Alghero coast with the most prestigious technique in the Mediterranean! We start by catching fresh, live bait—like squid or mackerel—then slow-troll them near rocky points and underwater pinnacles. This “natural” presentation is irresistible to the smartest and most powerful predators. Our main goals are the aggressive Dentex (Dentice) with its piercing teeth, and the massive Amberjack (Ricciola), famous for its punishing initial run. This is a game of stealth and precision—when the rod doubles over, you’re in for a high-stakes battle against the true heavyweights of the Sardinian reefs!

Whether we are drifting with a steady trail of sardines (chumming) or trolling heavy-duty lures, the goal is the same—engaging the strongest fish in the sea. This is a game of patience and adrenaline; once the reel screams, you’re locked in a grueling, high-stakes fight that can last hours.
Specialized tackle is mandatory to stand a chance against these giants. It’s more than just fishing; it’s a test of gear, grit, and power against a true apex predator!
Deep Drop Bottom Fishing
Skill Level: Medium – Hard
Gear&Tackle: ‘Chicken Rig’ with 3-6 circle hooks, squid, shrimp sardines as bait.
Target Species: Blackspot Seabream, Grouper, Wreckfish, Hake, Swordfish, Mahi Mahi.
Tour Highlights:
Go deep for the monsters of the abyss! We venture far offshore to the edge of the continental shelf, targeting depths from 200m to over 500m where the giants dwell. Using specialized electric reels and heavy-duty rigs, we send multiple baits down to the dark sea floor. This is the realm of the legendary Large Grouper, Blackspot Seabream , Porgy, and the prized Hake.
In these extreme depths, you never know what the abyss will give up—but when the rod tip dives, you know it’s something substantial. It’s a high-tech treasure hunt for the finest table fish in the Mediterranean!
Offshore Trolling
Skill Level: Medium
Gear&Tackle: Stand-up rods, Daisy Chains, Skirted Lures, Spreader Bars, Birds.
Target Species: Albacore Tuna, Mediterranean Spearfish, Mahi Mahi
Tour Highlights:
We head offshore to the continental shelf where the big pelagics roam, setting a high-speed spread between 4 to 8 knots to trigger aggressive strikes. Using a professional spread of colorful feathers and rapid-action lures, we hunt the horizon for bird activity and bait balls. When the reel starts screaming, the battle is on! This is the pinnacle of Sardinian summer sport fishing—fast-paced, prestigious, and pure excitement.
Vertical & Slow Pitch Jigging
Skill Level: Hard
Gear&Tackle: Specialized rods and reels, Jigs of all type from 40gr to 400gr
Target Species: Amberjack, Grouper, Snapper, Tuna, Leerfish, John Dory, Scorpion Fish.
Tour Highlights:
We head to Alghero’s offshore reefs and rocky drop-offs, targeting the heavy hitters of the Mediterranean.
Instead of bait, we use specialized metal lures—Vertical Jigs for high-speed aggression or Slow Pitch Jigs for a fluttering, wounded baitfish action. Dropping deep into the strike zone, we use rhythmic rod pumps to entice explosive hits from massive Amberjacks, Dentex, and Grouper.
This is “active” fishing at its finest—purely technical, highly rewarding, and incredibly addictive. When a big predator hammers your jig in the depths, be ready for a true test of strength!
